Title ECODE: A Pattern Based Approach for Definitional Knowledge Extraction
Abstract In this paper we present a pattern-based approach to the automatic extraction of definitional knowledge from specialised Spanish texts. Our methodology is based on the search of definitional verbal patterns to extract definitional contexts related to different kinds of definitions: analytic, extensional, functional and synonymic. This system could be a helpful tool in the process of elaborating specialised dictionaries, glossaries and ontologies.
