Title Pasadena: A New Editing System for the Oxford English Dictionary
Abstract The Oxford English Dictionary and the software company IDM together designed a new editing system that went live in June 2005. The system is called Pasadena. Though specially designed for OED, the system incorporates software which is commercially available for other dictionary projects. This paper explains some of the dèsign principles behind the Pasadena system and reviews the performance of the system after six months in live operation.
