Title Style and usage labels in learner’s dictionaries: Ways of optimisation
Abstract The present paper investigates the use of style and usage labels in modern monolingual learner's English dictionaries. The main purpose of the paper is to show that there is no consistency in the labeling policy in MLDs that results in misleading the user of the dictionary. Special emphasis is made on the ways of optimizing the process of labeling.
