| Abstract |
The text introduces some typographical problems which may occur in the transcription/citation, but also in the encoding, of scientific works, such as dictionaries and grammars in Latin characters, above all of historical-comparative area. Particular reference is to the use of the Combining Diacritical Marks and some special characters. It is also pointed out the Unicode Standard of character encoding and to the OpenType fonts, which possess advance property for the text rendering (graphical arrangement): these instruments enable to go ahead in the preparation and publication of scientific articles and essays. |
