Abstract |
In this paper, we motivate the need for a large-scale computational lexicon that is used as a resource for a morphological word analysis tool in German. Complex words account for more than two thirds of the vocabulary of German, which makes their unambiguous analysis crucial for all kinds of linguistic processing. The important linguistic features that are needed are introduced, and an implementation ofthe lexical resource is presented. First linguistic features that are needed for word analysis are introduced, then an implementation of the lexicon is presented, and finally we sketch the interaction between the lexicon and the word analysis tool. |
