Title Slovak Synonym Dictionary
Abstract This paper deals with the new Slovak Synonym Dictionary, a fundamental work describing Slovak lexis on some 1,000 pages containing more than 40,000 paragraphs. Some theoretical issues concerning lexical synonymy are discussed, initial lexicographic decisions are shown and an example entry is introduced. Lexical-computing questions addressed cover gathering of additional lexical evidence and lexical data representation and validation. A sample dictionary page is presented in the Appendix.
