Title A Tool for the Lexical Semantic Classification of Dutch Verbs
Abstract In this paper we will introduce a model for the lexical semantic classification of Dutch verbs. This model aims to contribute to the construction of definitions for monolingual dictionaries to make them more suitable for NLP-purposes. It has the form of a flow chart in which each level contains a further refinement of the distinction in semantic groups at the level preceding. The model can be passed through by answering yes or no to predefined questions. It has been implemented in a computer program which, under strict guidelines, guides the user through the model.
